FAQ

Questions, answered.

What Peak AI is, what we build, and how we work. Still curious? Book a discovery call and talk to the engineers who’d do the work.

What is Peak AI?

Peak AI is an engineering-first AI consulting and delivery partner. We design, build, and operate production AI systems — agent systems, retrieval and search (RAG), voice and multimodal interfaces, applied machine learning and computer vision, and the platform and MLOps work that keeps them reliable. We exist for teams that need AI which is integrated, observable, and measurably useful in production, not another prototype that never ships.

What does Peak AI do?

We take AI from demo to production. Our work spans six areas: agent systems, retrieval and search, voice and multimodal, applied ML and computer vision, AI platform engineering, and discovery and delivery strategy. In every engagement we focus on the parts that decide whether AI actually works — integration, evaluation, observability, and cost — and we instrument each system against the outcome it is meant to move.

Where is Peak AI based?

Peak AI is based in Bucharest, Romania, and works remotely with teams across Europe and worldwide.

Who founded Peak AI?

Peak AI was founded by Dan Stinga (co-founder, agentic AI and research) and Sergiu Craioveanu (co-founder, data and production ML) — engineers who have shipped production AI in demanding environments, not advisors. They work alongside a small full-time team and a trusted network of highly skilled senior engineers we bring in as collaborators, so every engagement is staffed with deep, hands-on expertise.

How is Peak AI different from a typical AI agency?

Most agencies can build a demo. We specialise in the work that comes after it: integration, evaluation, observability, reliability, and cost control. We stay small and senior, deliver in short cycles against measurable acceptance criteria, and treat reliability as part of the product rather than an afterthought. Sometimes the most honest answer is “don’t build this with AI,” and we’ll say so early.

What industries does Peak AI work with?

We focus on domains where reliability, integration, and measurable outcomes are non-negotiable: financial services, enterprise knowledge and internal operations, retail and commerce, media and content systems, mobility and logistics, and complex B2B workflows. Our team has delivered AI, data, and platform systems for organisations including Deutsche Bank, ING, PwC, Siemens, eMAG, Shutterstock, and Metro Systems.

How do engagements with Peak AI start?

Most engagements begin with a short discovery call, followed by a scoped, low-risk first step — usually a Discovery & Feasibility Sprint (1–3 weeks) or a Proof of Value Build (4–8 weeks) — so you can validate the hardest path on real data before committing. From there we move to a Production MVP and, once it is live, an Operate & Improve engagement that keeps it reliable and affordable as it evolves.

What does it cost to work with Peak AI?

Pricing depends on scope. We work in scoped, time-boxed engagements that start small and expand as the system proves out, so you are not committing to a large program up front. Book a discovery call and we’ll outline an approach and an indicative range for your specific case.
